The other day, it’s been revealed the sad news that Nate Woods has been eventually executed. CNN reported that Alabama executed inmate Nathaniel Woods for the crimes that he committed.
Back in 2004, he allegedly murdered three Birmingham police officers, and according to the state corrections dept. he was executed. He was pronounced dead at 9 p.m. local time.
A lot of people in the community tried to stop this, but it was in vain. T.I. and Tiny Harris were some of these people.
Now, T.I. broke a lot of his fans’ hearts by sharing a poem that Nate wrote before his execution. You can read it below.
‘Words left behind by Nate Woods. As you read these words, imagine the state of uncertainty he must’ve been in when he wrote this poem the night before his scheduled lynching. My heart is heavy with grief, anger,& despair right now. I feel defeated. Like I failed a man who deserved to be here to witness the beauty of this day that the Lord has given us today. But he was robbed of that by @governorkayivey but rest well Nate knowing that we ain’t gon let this shit slide AT ALL‼️ We all Love and Respect you, Bro, & We’ll be here to support your family as they navigate their way through these unspeakable times.
